I. Application

(1) Eligibility for Application

a. Healthy foreign nationals(with aforeign passport) with good character

b. Applicants for master programshall have a bachelor or higher degree; Applicants for Doctoral program shallhave a master or higher degree.

c. Applicants for Chinese Medicine programscan have degrees of equivalence.

Pre-requisites for TCM masters degreeprogram application:

A university degree equals to a Chinese bachelor's degree, or candidates witha demonstrable equivalency such as the following: having a diploma comparable to a Chineseprofessional/vocational college level, study of TCM knowledge from a TCMinstitute and working experience in medical-related field for over 2 years.

Pre-requisites for TCM doctoralprogram application:

A Master’s degree or candidates witha demonstrable equivalency such as: A university degree comparable to a Chinesebachelor’s degree, and relevant work experience in a related field for over 6 years.

d. All candidates must receive recommendations from atleast 2 associate professors or scholars with equivalent titles.

e. For master degree candidates applying for aprofessional degree in clinical medicine, the student must hold a bachelor’sdegree and have graduated from a 5-year undergraduate Chinese TCM universityprogram in mainland China.

f. Applicants for Chinese-taught program shall passnew HSK 5 with a minimum score of 180( exclude those who have finishedsecondary or tertiary education in Chinese). Applicants for English-taughtprogram from non-English-speaking countries shall pass the university languagetest.

(2) Application Documents

a. Application form to study in NJUCM.

b. A copy of passport information (beyond 6 monthsvalidity since the application).

c. Photocopy of the highest degree certificate: Pleaseprovide the scancopy of graduation diploma and/or degree certificate; For thosewho have not got the diploma yet, please provide the School AttendanceCertificate.

d. Two reference letters in English or Chinese from 2associate professors or scholars with equivalent titles.

e. A copy of HSK5 Certificate (exclude those who havefinished secondary or tertiary education in Chinese).

f. Health Certificate

g. Criminal Record Check

h. Financial Guarantee Statement 

(3) Study Method

Self-supported post-graduate students in part-time andfull time methods. 

(4)  Application Period

February 2019 to June 2019

II Methods of assessment

Application-Evaluation System

The evaluation content will focus on the acquisitionof specialty basic knowledge and research capacity as well as languageproficiency. The evaluation will be taken through on-sight interview, phone interviewor Internet interview.

III Acceptance

A merit-based process will be organized for students’entry to the university after collecting all candidates’ registration documentsand their comprehensive interview performance evaluation. The admission packagewill be delivered before end of June, 2019.

IV Entrance schedule

This will be arranged by the International EducationCollege.

Students who are accepted shall apply student visa( X1 visa) to Chinese Embassy/Consulate in yourhome country with your passport, Admission Notice and JW 202 / 201 Form. Uponvisa appproval , please register on the designated time specified in theAdmission Notice. Students who only submitted school attendance certificate shallthen supply the original copy of the academic degree; otherwise thequalification for marticulation will be cancelled. If the students cannot comeand register on time, he or she should ask for permission from the university.Otherwise, his or her qualification of admission will be cancelled. Studentsshall bring the original copy of Physical Examination upon regsitration.

V Degree awarded and Graduation

Students who have finished required courses, passedthe thesis defense and relevant examination will be granted relevant degree andgraduation diploma according to the Regulations of the People’s Republic ofChina on Academic Degrees.
